Terms & Conditions

Special packages must be taken in 1 appointment timeslot by one person and may not spread over a number of days/weeks.

A minimum deposit of 50% of the total treatment value is required when booking any party package or treatments exceeding 1 hour. This is requested by credit or debit card, cash or direct bank transfer to secure the booking and is non-refundable if cancellation is made with less than 48 hours notice.

Please arrive approx. 10min before your appointment time to complete consultation forms.

Please turn off the volume on your mobile phone when in a treatment.

Smoking is strictly prohibited during treatments.

In the unlikely event that you have any cause for complaint please inform me BEFORE you leave the salon.  I will do my best to ensure your satisfaction.  We DO NOT refund any payments.  If you are unhappy with your treatment and after investigation it is found that Amara Essence and/or it's therapist(s) are negligent in performance of your treatment, we MAY offer either a discount on a future treatment or reschedule the same treatment for another time with a different therapist.

Personal details
You agree to keep your personal record held by Amara Essence updated with your full contact and medical details - this will enable us to contact you in the event of any change relating to your appointments.  Where possible, please provide both landline and mobile telephone numbers.

Privacy policy:
We will treat all your Personal Information as confidential. We will keep it secure and we will fully comply with all applicable UK Data Protection Legislation.


Appointment Cancellation Policy:

Being on time for your appointment is very much appreciated.

Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late will be charged in full for the treatments they have booked, but only given the balance of the treatment time remaining, therefore resulting in part of the treatment being unable to be performed. This is a courtesy to our other clients whose appointment follows yours.

How to cancel or change your appointment:
Cancellation policy:

We would ask clients to provide, where possible, at least 48 hours notice if they need to change or cancel an appointment. Cancellations can be made by telephoning the salon during opening hours on 0141 337 2722. If you are cancelling out of salon hours you may cancel by email to amara.essence@virginmedia.com We would like to advise you that in booking an appointment, that you are reserving a therapist in advance. Our cancellation policy is designed as part compensation for our highly trained and dedicated therapists who rely on a busy schedule for a rewarding career.

Clients will be charged in full for the time reserved regardless for the reasons of cancelling. However, if we have sufficient notice of cancellation we can open up the appointment to awaiting clients, which if the time is sold onto another client would result in return of cancellation fees.

If you leave a message on our answerphone and you have a mobile telephone number registered with us, you will receive a call or text confirming your cancellation. However, as there is no guarantee that we will receive your message in time, we do not recommend cancellations are made in this manner.  If you do not receive a call or text, please take this as confirmation that we have not received your cancellation call.

Our right to cancel:
In the unusual circumstances that we may need to cancel your booking, e.g. adverse weather conditions, staff illness, we will contact you by telephone and give as much notice as possible.
